Description: The data sources for 'MergedFloodDepth' include: H:\GIS_Office\ArcSDE\SDE_Updates\newSdeFeatures.gdb\RiverFloodDepth, H:\GIS_Office\ArcSDE\SDE_Updates\newSdeFeatures.gdb\CoastalFloodDepth, Database Connections\GISMXD@sde_live@ARCSDE@DC.sde\sde_live.GIS.Topography\sde_live.GIS.Flood_PlainThe steps to create this feature class included:1. Merge the RiverFloodDepth, CoastalFloodDepth, sde_live.GIS.Flood_Plain to create the 'MergedFloodDepth' feature class (all further steps apply to the 'MergedFloodDepth' feature class)2. Dissolve features to create simplified polygon data for the purpose of clearer visual representation.3. Create a generalized polygon by tracing the outside edges of the data to remove holes that existed within the data for the purpose of clearer visual representation.4. Adjust the Waterfront flood area by bringing the polygon up to the road (to W Esplanade, S Esplanade, and Low Level Rd) as requested by Brian Willock to ensure all areas of the same height have the same flood area assigned.
