Hydrant locations/elevations are no longer surveyed . The data therefore should not be used for benchmarking.

June 9, 2014 >> Elevation values were updated according to the notes provided in the CityDocs file #1176537.

October 6, 2014 >> Starting on this date, elevation (z-values) for hydrants will be input into SDE_Live using the following two peices of criteria:

(i) surveyed elevation values will be entered using decimals wherever possible. For example WHY-000702 at 94.693m.

(ii) non-surveyed elevation values will be entered as integers, so that sub-metre values are not available. For example WHY-000702 at 94m

Metadata: A backup of hydrant (WAT_HYDRANT) data is located in the CityDocs file #1211893, which was taken from the following Geodatabase and Table H:\\Data\\Backup\\Water_Network.gdb\\Hydrants_BKUP4Oct2014

September 3, 2015 >> Private water hydrants had their prefix changed away from "CP" to be "PHY". None of these hydrants are near the railway. There were 19 hydrants that had the "CP" prefix, 1 that had no ID at all (PHY068), and 2 that had CNV IDs that were changed to private ones (WHY-000669/792).

December 2024 >> EST_FLOW is Estimated Fire Hydrant Flow. Units are in GPM. The calculation used is X (L/s) * 15.850323 = Y (GPM). Values are updated once a year based upon modelling values provided by Engineering.
